Natalie was wondering why I haven't posted on this blog for a while. I guess I am not sure if I am truely a foodie or not. The biggest problem is that I am trying to lose weight and so I am not cookin' up much beautiful food or desserts. I love my photography, but I am not sure how to be passionate about cooking and baking and photographing it when I don't want to have it around the house because I don't really have too much will power. It is easier to not make at all.
I thought I would try a Trifle in my new trifle bowl, but I wanted to eat some of it so I used Angel Food cake, fat free, sugar free pudding and fat free 'Cool Whip'. I used fresh strawberries and it turned out pretty good.
Almost Fat and Sugar Free Trifle
Tear an angel food cake into bite sized pieces
Make up two packages of your favorite fat free/sugar free pudding
Wash and cut up your favorite fruit
Layer in a glass Trifle Bowl, starting with a small amount of pudding. Add half the cake, pudding, Cool Whip, and fruit. Add more cake, and finish with a layer of pudding and top with Cool Whip. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Serve. Yummy and not a ton of calories.
